DON WITMAN has been leading the St. Peter’s Adult Choir since 1988.  Currently an instrumental music teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools, he also taught for 19 years at Paul VI High School.  He holds degrees in choral conducting (M.M., The Catholic University of America) and music education (B.S., Elizabethtown College).  A performing member of the Fairfax Wind Ensemble and the Braddock Brass Quintet, Don also graces St. Peter’s services and music programs with his beautiful trumpet playing.  He is featured tenor soloist in the annual Messiah sing-along, assists with the Children’s Choir, and occasionally wields a handbell.

JAMES SELWAY is a graduate of The Juilliard School and The Catholic University of America.  He is President of Harnes Selway Arts, Inc., Falls Church, Virginia.  Mr. Selway maintains a Suzuki piano studio of 40 students and also directs operetta and music theater productions for the Harnes Selway Arts summer program, Singers Onstage. For over twenty years he has directed operetta for children and youth and continues to direct and produce Gilbert and Sullivan productions at Summer Music Festival ~ Suzuki Kingston, Ontario. Mr. Selway is also Associate Director of the World Children’s Choir, founded and directed by his wife, soprano Sondra Harnes.
